Thank you for choosing Northern Farm & Flowers for your photography session! We’re thrilled to have you capture beautiful moments amidst our blooming flowers. Please take a moment to read the following to ensure a wonderful and safe experience:

• Booking gives you unlimited access to the farm for a single family/client for up to one hour.
• Farm rental is for professional photographers only. A business liability policy is required to rent the farm.
• Drones are not allowed on the farm.
• Pets are not allowed on the farm. We have our own animals and outside pets are disruptive to the farm.
• You are the exclusive photographer booked on the farm during your session.
• Northern Farm & Flowers is a you-pick flower farm and open to the public, and as such, there may be ongoing farm activities during your photography session. We will make every effort to minimize any potential disruptions to your session.
• Picking the flowers is prohibited. Please be respectful of black fabric flower rows and please do not damage the flowers in any way.
• Your safety is our priority. Please adhere to designated areas and exercise caution around farm equipment.
• The rental fee is $30 per hour, minimum charge is one hour.
• By proceeding with your photography session at Northern Farm & Flowers, you acknowledge and accept the working nature of our farm. We look forward to you capturing magical moments in the midst of our blooming flowers.

FAQs & Guidelines

Please note that we primarily operate as a You-Pick Flower Farm, and photography is secondary.

WHAT IF IT RAINS AT MY SESSION TIME?

Please reach out to us in advance. We do offer rescheduled appointments for inclement weather; however, it must be actively raining for the booking. We don’t allow reschedules if the fields may be a bit damp from rain earlier in the day. You will find that most generally, our flower fields are not muddy, nor hard to get around in.

WHAT IF I MISS MY APPOINTMENT?

You can reschedule your appointment, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss. We do not offer refunds for missed appointments.

DO YOU GIVE REFUNDS?

We do not give refunds.

WHAT IF I’M NOT A PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER, NOR HAVE A PROFESSIONAL CAMERA?

Currently, we only offer the farm for professional photographers with business liability insurance.

WHAT IF MY CLIENTS CANCEL AT THE LAST MINUTE?

We offer reschedules, please contact us as soon as possible to discuss. We do not offer refunds for cancellations or missed appointments.

CAN I FLY MY DRONE?

No, drones are not allowed.

CAN I ARRIVE EARLY TO SCOPE OUT SHOT LOCATIONS?

Yes, since we are open to public seven days a week, you are welcome to stop by and see what’s in bloom and potential shooting locations. Our you-pick cutting garden is open to the public during regular business hours.

WHAT COLORS AND TYPES OF FLOWERS WILL YOU HAVE IN BLOOM?

At any given time during our growing season, there’s a rainbow of different colors and varieties of flowers available as a backdrop for photos; however, our flower farm really gets going with loads of blooms from the end of July through the beginning of October. Please keep in mind, we cannot guarantee any particular flower will be blooming.

WHAT IF I’M RUNNING LATE OR OVER MY ALLOTTED RENTAL TIME WITH MY CLIENTS?

DO NOT stay past your allotted time! Please be respectful of the time for your scheduled appointment and plan accordingly.

DO I NEED BUSINESS LIABILITY INSURANCE TO RENT YOUR FARM FOR PHOTOGRAPHY?

Yes. We require the photographers who rent our farm to carry a business liability insurance umbrella policy.

CAN I BRING MY PETS OR A CLIENT’S PETS?

No, since we have animals on the farm, we do not allow any other pets/animals on the property.

CAN I TAG YOU ON SOCIAL MEDIA?

Absolutely! Please consider crediting the photograph’s location on social media such as Facebook, Instagram, TickTock, blogs, or websites with @northernctfarm, northernctfarm.com, or Northern Farm & Flowers Goshen, CT.

We welcome all photo submissions. We may use your photos online and in print if you share them with us.
