Local Chicken
Our 2023 experience with pasture-raised poultry was a success. We truly appreciate hearing your kind words after enjoying our chicken and turkey. This year we will be once again taking pre-orders so our old and new customers have a chance to try poultry the way it was meant to taste. Our birds are fed a non-medicated feed and we do not vaccinate our birds, both of which are unnecessary when raising small batches.
Our poultry is humanely raised and live a stress-free life. Our poultry is processed less than 15 miles from the farm in Connecticut’s only USDA Inspected Poultry Processing & Slaughter facility.
Our next batch of chicken will be available February 23 and will be processed as parts instead of whole: breasts, tenders, quarters, and wings. A second batch of chicken (and for the first time, duck!) is scheduled for May and will be ready for your Memorial Day cookouts. See below for the differences our farm-raised chicken versus industrial.
Chicken hearts, livers, necks, and feet, for stock or pet feed, are also available.
Yes, there is a difference between pasture-raised chicken (black text) versus industrial chicken (red text).
